Welcome to Cyclical Woman!

In all corners of the world, women are reconnecting with the cyclical experience of the feminine, and discovering a source of inner power and ancestral wisdom that is transforming our vision of womanhood.

It is profoundly liberating to be shedding layers and layers of shame and rejection towards our bodies and our natural cycles, from birth, to menarche, to menopause, and to embrace more and more fully who we are, in all the stages of our life.

Lucy Pearce

Over the past seventeen years this project has brought together and inspired thousands of women in the Spanish-speaking world, through workshops and retreats, online courses, a vibrant newsletter and social networks, and the Mujer Cíclica website and Blog.

I am very excited to also be offering my work in English (my mother tongue), propelled by my partner Gemma Polo since we began to bring together our paths in 2016: Gemma’s passion for deep rest meditation and the sacred, and my strong connection to the female cycles and facilitating women’s circles.

We are continuing to offer in English what has deeply nourished our Spanish-speaking community, through projects that offer feminine pathways to connect to our inner wisdom and the sacred.

In 2021 we completed the translation of our online course “Medicine Woman: a journey to your centre” which has already reached over 1000 women in Spain and Latin America over two years.

Please dive into the Blog section where we regularly offer new resources and inspiration in English.

You can also become an Affiliate of Cyclical Woman, to help spread the word about our online course “Medicine Woman”, and open a new stream of income for yourself.

“I am deeply grateful to Sophia and all her team for everything I’ve received from Mujer Cíclica, in particular for your generosity, your honesty and the dedication and experience that is so obvious in everything that you offer. I am a teacher, a grandmother and a writer, convinced about our power as women. I want to congratulate you on the quality of your work”.

The four archetypes

Maiden

Her season is spring, her lunar phase the crescent moon. The seed that germinates, initiation, passion for life, time of new possibilities…

Mother

Her season is summer, her lunar phase the full moon. The seed becomes a flower, bears fruit and matures thanks to the warmth of the sun and the nutrients of the earth…

Shamana

Her season is autumn, her lunar phase the waning moon. Time to gather the harvest, to start pruning, as the light diminishes…

Wise Woman

Her season is winter, her lunar phase, the dark moon. Time to hibernate, put down roots, be still, be renewed…

The Joy of the Hummingbird

The Joy of the Hummingbird

We’ve chosen this moment to honour and celebrate the incredible hummingbird! According to indigenous traditions in many parts of the world, every kind of animal has its own particular medicine, teaching and message for us, if we are open to its wisdom.

There is light and only light

There is light and only light

We review Gemma Polo Pujol’s marvelous book ‘There is Light and only light. Teachings to illuminate your inner journey’ and offer one of Gemma’s precious guided meditations.

The call of the drum

The call of the drum

“The voice of the drum was the voice of the earth, the pulse of life in a mother’s womb and the hidden power of life within the manifest world. To beat the drum was to call the dark mother, the Hag, the hidden source of life within the woman. The beat became the repeating rhythm of life, the moon and the menstrual cycle of womanhood. When the drumming ceased, the natural rhythms still continued.” Miranda Gray
